Meet the Team Behind the Rules
KartStars Canada has made a strategic investment in its technical inspection program, assembling what is arguably the most accomplished karting tech team in Canada. With over 150 years of combined experience, this team ensures that every kart competes under the same rule set while maintaining the highest standards of technical compliance.
- Wrex Roth – Head of Rok/Rotax Inspection
- Al Di Frangia – Head of Briggs & Stratton Inspection
- Mike Edwards – International expert from the USA overseeing operations and providing technical support
- Gord & Ryland Duesburry – Technical inspectors and administrative specialists
From detailed inspections to precision tooling and expert support, the KartStars Canada tech team is the backbone of fair, professionally managed racing, committed to leveling the playing field for every participant.
Officiating Excellence
Complementing the technical team, KartStars Canada has strengthened its officiating staff to ensure races are run smoothly, fairly, and in full accordance with the Rules Package. The 2026 team welcomes:
- Gideon Gadson – Co-Race Director, Steward (New York, USA)
- Rob Oakman – Co-Race Director, Steward
- Jeff Conte – Management and Support
With decades of experience developing the Canadian Rules Set, Rob and Jeff return for their eighth consecutive season, joined by Gideon’s fresh perspective to further elevate the integrity of race management.

- Round 3 – KartStars National Championship – August 6–9

- Round 5 – Hamilton Karting Complex, October 3–4
