KartStars Canada – Ontario’s premier karting championship closes out the season with its signature Night Race on September 19th.
UXBRIDGE, ON — KartStars Canada is set to bring its 2026 championship season to a spectacular conclusion on Saturday, September 19, as the series returns to Goodwood Kartways for its highly anticipated Season Finale Night Race.
A fixture on the Ontario motorsport calendar since 2009, the annual Night Race has become one of the most anticipated events of the karting season, combining high-level competition with an atmosphere that extends well beyond the racetrack.
With racing continuing into the evening under the lights, competitors and spectators can expect a full day of karting action, family entertainment and community spirit before the championship concludes with the championships final chequered flags.
RACING UNDER THE LIGHTS
The KartStars Canada Season Finale will feature four on-track sessions for each class: Practice, Qualifying, Pre-Final and Final.
As the sun sets over Goodwood Kartways, Ontario’s leading kart racers will take to the illuminated circuit for the highlight of the weekend. LED lighting on karts will once again be permitted, adding an unmistakable visual element to an already unique racing experience.
“There’s nothing quite like racing under the lights,” said Daniel Di Leo, owner of Goodwood Kartways. “It has become one of the highlights of our season. The racing is intense, but it’s the atmosphere that makes this event so special. The competitors, families, teams and spectators all come together, and the energy around the facility is incredible.”
A NIGHT FOR THE ENTIRE KARTING COMMUNITY
While the racing remains the centrepiece of the event, the Season Finale has developed into much more than a race.
The Kid Kart Goodwood program will also be part of the weekend, with drivers, families and supporters invited to join the festivities and attend the Kid Kart Podium Presentation.
The event will once again bring together racers from across Ontario and beyond, with visiting clubs expected to join the regular KartStars Canada competitors for one final night of competition.
FIREWORKS TO CAP THE SEASON
Following the completion of the final races and podium presentations, the evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display, providing a fitting finale to the 2026 KartStars Canada season.
The Night Race has become known not only for its racing but for the experience surrounding it—a celebration of karting, competition and the community that supports the sport throughout the year.
And for those looking to fuel up during the long day, the legendary Taco Bowl will once again be available from the Goodwood Kartways Snack Bar, while supplies last.

FRIDAY PRACTICE
An official open practice day will take place on Friday, September 18, from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Large grids are expected, and visiting clubs and competitors are welcome. Teams are encouraged to bring additional lighting for their pit areas in preparation for the evening event.

Registration for the KartStars Canada Season Finale is now open.
Pre-registration closes Wednesday, September 16 at 8:00 PM.
